1. Information We Collect

We collect personal information you provide when signing up or using the platform, such as name, email, phone number, and information needed for our services to work. We also collect data automatically, such as IP address, browser, pages visited, and cookies, to improve your experience.

2. Health Data (Apple Health and Health Connect)

If you are a student and you allow it, the Personal Buddy app accesses health and fitness data from your phone: Apple Health (HealthKit) on iPhone and Health Connect on Android. These apps collect the data from your watch or fitness band. We may read, for example, your workouts and other physical activities, heart rate, calories burned, and other activity data, always limited to the data types you allow.

We may also write data to these apps. For example, a workout you do on Apple Watch is saved to Apple Health, alongside your other activities.

We use this data only to show your workouts and physical activity in the app and in your history, and so your personal trainer can follow your progress. We don’t sell this data, don’t use it for advertising, and don’t share it with anyone other than your personal trainer.

We only access this data after you grant permission. You can revoke the permission at any time in Apple Health or Health Connect settings (on Android, also from your profile in the app). Data already sent stays with your workout history and is deleted together with your account.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and improve our services
• Personalize your experience on the platform
• Share news, updates, and relevant information
• Meet legal and security obligations

4. Data Sharing

We don’t sell or share your personal information with third parties, except when necessary to meet legal obligations or deliver the services you’ve signed up for (such as technology providers and operational partners, always following security standards).

5. Protecting Your Information

We use technical, administrative, and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, misuse, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

6. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to improve how the site works, analyze platform usage, and personalize content. You can manage or disable cookies in your browser settings.

7. Your Rights

You can request an update, correction, or deletion of your personal data at any time, and request information about how your data is used.

8. Account Deletion

You can delete your account at any time from your account settings by confirming your password. When you make the request:

• Your account is deactivated immediately and you are signed out of the platform on every device.
• Your subscription, if any, is canceled and no further charges are made.
• If you are a personal trainer, your clients also lose access to the app and stop receiving notifications.
• Your data is kept for 30 days. During this period, you can ask us to reactivate your account.

After 30 days, your data and the data of the clients linked to your account (such as workouts, assessments, photos, health questionnaires, and documents) are permanently deleted. We only keep the information the law requires us to retain, such as payment records.

9. Links to Third-Party Sites

Our site may contain links to external sites. We’re not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

This Policy may be updated from time to time. The latest version will always be available on our site. Continued use of the services after changes are made means you agree to them.
